Convenience. This is what computers afford today's society. However, with convenience comes a price, your private life is seen by the public. You are confident uploading your pictures for your friends to see, but there are also people especially hackers who would abuse this and post all the malicious things on you. There are also spammers and hackers who will send you viruses, adwares and trojans that would compromise and eventually crash down your computer. You can however prevent this from happening by burning your important files on your cd or dvd. How do I duplicate a dvd copy? Simple, just copy your entire files on a usb then recopy it on your dvd cd. You can also put up a firewall or update one if you already have it on your computer. Updated firewall and antivirus is very important as new viruses comes up every second and patches and fixes are not release as fast as viruses are made. Another thing is to set up your public profile to private so that nobody can have easy access to your information . |

I have no clue what to do with excel. I am not even a certified excel user so when my boss came to me with a document that I should type in excel , the right thing to do would have been to just tell him straight but instead I did not and I collected it and it was taking me the whole day to work on the document. At a point I even got so tired that I began to feel like there is something wrong with my head, why can't I freeze panes in excel ? I kept asking my self till I fell asleep on the computer only to wake up and my boss was standing over my head. I was embarrassed because I have gone no where in typing the document and he was so furious that I didn't tell him I couldn't handle the task . At the end of the day it all went well and his anger subsided and then I apologized to him for everything and we were back on track again. I felt bad about everything though. |

One day when I was in college Bob and Greg came up to me and told me quietly that they were going to skip the last lecture. I asked them if they were going home early. They told me that they were going out for a movie and asked me to join them. I was tempted to join them but I remembered the last lecture was about computer applications. So I told them that I would not be able to join them. They laughed at me and told me to stop being studious. I ignored them and attended the lecture. To my good luck there was a surprise test on that day about Microsoft Office Errors which was taught to us the in the previous lecture. I happily answered all the questions and I was confident that I would get a good score. When I met Bob and Greg the next day they asked me whether there really was a test the previous day. I told them that there was one and I was lucky to be there. I told them that it sometimes pays to be studious. |

One thing about the computers they are baking nowadays you can hook anything up to him and program them. You could connect cell phones, iPods and other devices to computer and use it to program them with music and even applications. How to connect samsung highlight to computer and any other device you want to connect to your computer will be found on the manufacturer's website and some of the high-tech websites you will find on Google. If you have Bluetooth or a Bluetooth dongle you 30 well connect through the Bluetooth with a lot of the devices now but be aware a lot a large files will not go through and most your devices will be treated just as if you connected a jump drive to your computer it will list as a removable drive. When it comes to music and stuff like that you can pretty well drag and drop but some phone manufacturers has a desktop manager where you can manage your contacts, your applications and your music so if you want to use your computer to program your cell phone or iPod or anything else go to the manufacturer site and see how it's done. |

One day when I was relaxing in my house I got a call from Benny. He wanted me to recommend to him names of some good computer professionals who could provide him help with dual monitors. Benny said that he was planning to have displays on the different counters in his shop so he needed some computer expert to help him in the planning process. He also told me that at some places he needed dual monitors and hence the computer professional should know how to install them. I was very particular when I recommended someone name. If I had even little doubt about the person I would never recommend him. I began to think if I knew someone who could do this job. I recollected that sometime back Jerry had done an excellent job with my computer and he was a computer professional. I searched for his contact number and gave it to Benny. After one week when I called Benny he told me that Jerry had done an excellent job and that he had given him the order to install more computers for his shop. |

Recently, I bought a new computer. I had a lot of data on my old computer: music, photos, games, applications, work and personal documents, and much more. Transferring the data to my new computer was not going to be fast or easy, and I wanted to make sure I had the best storage options available during the transition. After all, if I lost all of this data, the new computer would not be of much use to me. So I used two methods of data back up: a traditional external hard drive and an online storage service called Dropbox. On the hard drive, I stored all of my data. I had enough room on the drive and the back up was successful. However, it is common knowledge that hard drives have a finite life span, and eventually they will stop working. With that in mind, I used Dropbox to back up the files that were most important to me. I had a free account, so I didn't have room in Dropbox to upload everything I had, just the crucial data I would need. The service worked extremely well, and I was able to access my data from my new computer without any problems. The hard drive also worked, but if it had failed, Dropbox would have saved my most important data. So all in all my experience with Dropbox and online cloud storage has been positive. The only down side to online storage that I considered was that I would be putting my data in a non-secure place, that could in theory be hacked. I didn't experience this, but it is a general worry that I have about online storage.
