Bond is Here on Buisness and Ready to Party Fancy Like!

posted on 5 February 2012

"My name is Bond James Bond"... when it comes to fancy dress costumes I would dress up as James Bond not only to just say this phrase (though it has a lot to do with it). How cool would it be to be classy and still be able to carry the classic ppk (made of plastic of coarse)! Showing up in a super government issued tricked out BMW would be the icing on the cake. No more traffic jams, just push the red button and the car will get you to the party by any means necessary! I really don't know how to get my hands on one of these super BMW's, but I can dream! Also the slyness and the wittiness of Bond will more than wow and will always be a polite crowd pleaser. He's pure awesomness and pretty freaking' British, so needless to say dressing as James Bond at a fancy dress party would be pretty cool!

The Best Gift Ever: a Timeless and Beautiful Turkish Scarf

What fashion item can you combine with summer, winter, classic, trendy, evening or street clothing... or even wear on its own with just a bikini underneath? Answer: a really big, beautiful scarf. I got one from my boss as a thank you present for a job well done about three years ago and I have not stopped wearing it since. Woven in navy blue and gold thread, in an exotic eastern pattern, with small tassles lining each side, this amazing accessory goes with just about everything I own. I have used it to dress up simple jeans and t-shirt combinations in the fall, when temperatures don't yet dictate a jacket and I've wrapped it around my neck together with my classic-cut winter coat, as well as worn it as a pashmina to restaurants and night clubs. It even compliments my ladies fashion jewellery so well. Once even, I wore it as a sarong on the beach! Thanks to its colours, the navy blue matching with virtually anything and the gold jazzing things up, this piece manages to be both elegant and trendy, any time, anywhere. I hope I never lose my amazing scarf because it is the single most useful item of clothing I have ever owned.

Be Sure To Watch Me When I Leave

Do you remember the movie, "The Count of Monte Cristo"? In it, Richard Chamberlain plays a young man who is falsely imprisoned for many years but later escapes and becomes wealthy. In one very poignant scene he turns and walks with such dignity and purpose of mind that his cape luxuriously flares behind him. Ever since I saw this movie, I have loved capes. To me, they are larger than life. With various colors and styles, wearing these flaring, sleeveless, drapes of fashion with jewellery accessories like chunky necklaces makes me feel confident with my own personal style. The book of the same title, from which the movie was written, is considered a classic, and ,no doubt, that particular scene is classic in itself because it speaks volumes. Turning one's back on one's enemies with determination that causes one's cape to billow, sends a strong statement. So, when I'm wearing a cape, you can glance at me when I enter, for I do have something to say, but please, please, be sure to watch me when I leave.
